This painting is part of “29 – Our Circled World”.
29 is the number of days in the lunar cycle, a rhythm that has guided me in reconnecting with my body, my feminine nature, and motherhood.
In my dialect, Més means “month” and recalls the woman’s cyclical process of renewal, purification, and inner strength—still surrounded by mystery and taboo.
Through ancient goddess symbols, myths, and the rhythm of the earth and moon, I discovered an ancestral ally within myself. Painting with my left hand allowed archetypal images to flow freely, without the control of habit. I chose fabrics woven by my great-grandmother Nina, who died young, leaving behind an unfinished story that connects me to the myth of Lilith—the first woman, exiled for refusing submission.
These works are dedicated to my female ancestors, who could not live their full beauty and freedom, and to all women today who are awakening, daring to look beyond the “mirror” toward their own liberation.
